Ultra Electronics Precision Air Systems produces a range of mini-compressors called 'HiPPAG' High Pressure Pure Air Generators.
HiPPAGs are compact, lightweight electrically powered pure air compressors designed to be carried on-board various military platforms. They are intended as a direct replacement for rechargeable gas bottles. Applications include cooling of infrared seekers for missiles such as ASRAAM, IRIS-T and Sidewinder, and support of pneumatic weapon ejection systems.
Selection of HiPPAG compressors provides the user with critical operational and logistics advantages over users of rechargeable gas bottles. Over 3000 HiPPAGs have been delivered for defence applications worldwide.
